Several years ago, my husband found a beautiful turkey feather while he was hiking. He brought it home to me, and while my original plan was to carve the tip into a pointed quill and convert the feather to a dip pen for my calligraphy, I never got around to it. Instead, this huge, beautiful feather has floated around my house, occupying different places where I could simply admit it. The designs in the turkey feathers in my Quill Collection are all modeled after that original, natural turkey feather.
