Medusa

Medusa was a gorgon with venomous snakes in place of hair, whose gaze could turn anyone to stone!

In tattoos, Medusa offers protection from evil and can symbolize survival and strength.

This hand-carved bone face is set in a handmade sterling silver bezel and sits nestled among eight writhing snakes.  No part of this piece (or any piece I make) is cast- I fused and hard forged each snake to give each one a unique shape and texture.
